back from ipoh !
what can i say about ipoh?
tried lotsa food there.. some were good, some were normal, i can still say confidently that the char koay teow below brickfields college is still the best i've tasted!!
club-wise, lotsa complains... first off, the clubs dont charge cover, so any tom dick and harry could go in. most of the people in there are DICKS anyway, major sausage-fest on the stage.
clubbing scene there is totally different from KL. in KL, guys are CHASED OFF THE STAGE. whereas in ipoh.. 80% of the people on the stage are guys. omfg eyesore puki sial! and the girls there.. mostly school kids and wearin almost the same thing.. i mean ALL OF THEM. its like.. short pants and some tshirt/top.. just imagine.. like those wat those girls in sgwang and times sq wear to work.
worst is, the club i went to on both nites only serves BEER. no whiskey, no cocktail, no shots.. just beer. but no complains on the price though, around rm60+ for a bucket of SIX bottles of beer. wow.. six bottles. here in KL is about rm100 for 5 bottles. haha!!
music-wise, its sorta liek barcelona.. with some good R&B hits in the beginning, then aroun 1-2am the techno shits start coming on, then back to R&B towards the end. and oh yeah, throw in a few old-school chinese songs for the mainly chinese crowd in there.
suffered a culture shock over there.. especially in Ipoh Parade.. its like sgwang and all the kids there got muka poyol.. those budak budak kecik walk around like they own the road, and even walking in my way. puki tiang...
the lifestyle there is very simple.. once you're in ipoh, u just move around ipoh.. u don't really go anywhere else, therefore majority of the youth there have a closed mindset.. thank god im in PJ.. even if i don't want to change my mentality, i would also be forced to because of peer pressure!
all in all, ipoh was fun, food was good, club was so-so but we made the best out of whatever we can to enjoy ourselves in the music!
