this shit caught my eye. i think i might ditch my target of a headporter noir messenger bag
lets do a comparison between the two bags.

nike - no reviews so far. quite many compartments, sturdy, high technical detailing
headporter - waterproof, high technical detailing, well known for good stitching, well constructed
look:
nike - grid pattern, with minimal blue accents, more funky
headporter - quilted nylon (think chanel, my favorite!!), simple and clean
famous / rarity:
nike - more common in malaysia. guessing roughly there are at least 20 units here.
headporter - lesser known in malaysia, but my personal favorite brand. guessing there are less than 5 units here.
availability:
nike - currently available in malaysia, i can buy now.
headporter - need to order online (nid credit card/paypal service.. which maybe nid add 7-10% extra), i'll have to wait after work july/august only can buy.

i just like the nike bag..nicer, more creative..the black one is jsut too simple..i mean if you wud want spend, spend it on more unique items. furthermore, nike is more funkier like you said, and it's edgier..more suitable for younger people. i mean from far can see the design, if the black one, from far looks normal. wun catch my attention if i was walking down the street..

But anyways, this is my opinion. Some people may say,"You get what you pay for". Well, I diss that fact sometimes. Money is always the factor, even when times are bad. I think a recognized brand like Nike is no harm in getting. And it's cheaper.
The Nike is tough and macho for dudes. Headporter is something that I've never heard before. XD. Drawback of the headporter, it looks like gucci man.. EEE~~~~
Checkered designs are the 'in' thing, go for NIKE! :) For availability, though you can order headporter via online, there are some factors about importing it.
1. You cannot try it on. You don't try, you'll never know. Just like getting to know girls.
2. Some packages that they import, may not come in good condition, they might damage the bag by simply throwing the stock into the plane like a stuffed toy animals. Just like how some guitars arrive at bad conditions such as the set up because they were not treated like gold.
3. MORE MONEY! Kastam likes you for your money, not for your big smile.
As for the Nike, you can bargain with the shop until they 'mata bengkak'/'sakit kepala'.
Customer support for headporter, why wanna waste time e-mailing the company of headporter and wait 2 weeks for reply? Calling the company would cost you even more money.
Go with the flow, wear something that is in fashion. And people like us have 10 more years before we are referred to as 'uncles'. XD Enjoy youth life!
IMO, go for the headporter bag. Much hype and you have already prepared a k for it so theres no worry on budget purpose. Furthermore, there is no doubt on Headporter's craftmanship definitely outbeat Nike, in both design and material used. On design wise quilted black is super solid and it is rare in Malaysia even if Malaysians dont know what it is you know it yourself. However you will have to wait for the shipping and payment fees which will roughly take around 2-3 weeks. =D

i went n check out the nike bag today..
in my opinion, it seems good enuf for me.. considering the crap that i carry in a bag (only one book, couple of pens...and nothing else)
its probably a battle between FUNKY vs MINIMALISM from the outlooks of it..

Oh like that ar...I change my mind. After seeing more pictures..I think you should go for the Nike, cause it is funky and it's different. And it;s very you.
You see since I know you right, you've always strive to be different. The headporter bag looks like any other black bag from far. Unless you go up close to see the logo, I doubt people will know it's a headporter that cost that much.
Meanwhile the Nike is has the real eye catching colours. I think it will draw more attention to it. Why we spend so much on things. honestly we have to admit so that people can admire us! LOL..and be jealous of us! So yeaaa....
Btw..because I love colours so I quite bias. And I still want the donuts. :(

I will totally choose HP black beauty noir..
as you know..HP have been well know for it quality and quantity..bring it out..other people will be looking at it..guessing what brand is it..you will be the spotlight on the street..ahaha..

I have few friends of mine..they use HP product for more than 10years..yet..the zip still can be open smoothly..unlike nike..the zip might become like rough feeling when u open it..
extra info:for HP product..I think it is fireproof too..I had tried burning HP pouch with lighter before..yet..nothing happened to it..of course the thing kept inside will be safe..feel safe to keep all your important stuffs in it..maybe ur girl's photo??=X

as for nike..the blue accents colour might be a bit too colourful..
Lastly...
for sure HP cost more than nike..it is imported from japan..and there is a warranty card for HP product..which you have to check out have to claim the warranty if occur any problem on the product..from what I know..it is lifetime warranty..lastly..u can try your luck asking crossova in times square and boundless in sungei wang..if they are able to help you to get this bag in..so that you don't have to bear so much tax and interest for paypal..I am sure you are a a wealthy guy..buy the best thing for yourself..=X
